About Us – “What is a Living Classroom?”
The Living Classroom Nursery is a life skills lab and job development program focused on educating homeless, unemployed or low-income individuals toward an exciting horticulture career.

The Living Classroom Campus is host to five native plant demonstration gardens, a greenhouse, a shade house and a community garden. This environment is an interactive growing classroom for students developing new life skills that are needed to establish a new vocational focus.

Our innovative programs focus on the development of vocational skills for those pursuing careers in the fields of horticulture, nursery science, landscape design, installation and maintenance of California Native plants.
